"An earthquake struck Serbia early Wednesday, killing two people , injuring dozens and causing substantial damage in the central of kraljevo, where electricity and other services were cut" said Yahoo News
The 5.6 magnitude quake hit at 1:56 am with the most heavily damaged area being north of kraljevo which is 150 km south of Belgrade, according to the Serbian seismological institute
"A couple in their fifties was killed at Grdica, a suburb of kraljevo in the earthquake during the night" the interior ministry stated
Two women were admitted with serious injuries, which were not life threatening and dozens more people received medical treatment.
Rescue teams have been deployed but they haven't found anyone trapped under the rubble.
The tremor, one of the strongest in Serbia in the last thirty years, badly damaged some parts of the country.
